my favorite thing to find in the utena tag is when someone finishes the series and says something along the lines of, “i hope the movie has some continuity and provides more explanation.”
…no this is all you get.
There was a Revolutionary Girl Utena exhibition in Tokyo recently~ It was the largest exhibition for the show to date and Ikuhara and Chiho Saito were there doing signings. There were many cells, merchandise, packaging and press releases on display as well as the stunning Rose Bride gown. The gown took a month to make, has boning around the waist and the fabric had to be dyed to make the colours just right.
